In its 34th edition, the São Paulo International Short Film Festival resumed its in-person configuration, occupying some of the city's most iconic screening rooms, and maintained part of its programming on the digital platforms Itaú Cultural Play, Porta Curtas, Spcine Play and Sesc Digital , reaching all of Brazil.
Among the highlights of the program, exhibitions dedicated to new indigenous directors such as Olinda Tupinambá, Takumã Kaikuro and Priscila Tapajowara, and a tribute to the Estímulo Award, one of the main pillars of audiovisual production in São Paulo in the 1980s and 90s. We also inaugurated the Horizontes program, with films that address the youth universe and trends for new generations.
With more than 3 thousand films registered, more than 35 countries were represented in the program.
